THIS SITE
As a designer you always work within a big framework of rules and regulations. Brand guidelines, design rules, various limitations of the format. So when creating this site I decided to loosen the belt and allow the creativity to flow. There are big issues with usability, contrast, responsiveness etc, but what the heck, this is my spiritual & therapeutic journey down my work life so I went for it!
DESIGN CHALLENGE
Just as I was about to start this work I read an article about every “Pantone Color of the Year” in the 2000s and decided to let that be my design challenge. So the palette of the site is completely set from this selection and I challenged myself to use as many as I could without it looking like an infant that had gone crazy with his expanded crayon set.
